Seeking an Executive Creative Director
to Join the FitzMartin Team

Creative Directors are uniquely positioned at the intersection of technology and psychology, the very place where our clients' message reaches its intended audience. Their role is to develop content and creative assets used in marketing campaigns and on the front lines of our clients' most important revenue-driving efforts. The Executive Creative Director at FitzMartin is not only curious, inquisitive and always seeking better understanding, but also strategically focused, skilled in writing marketing materials for all channels and responsible for leading and developing our team of creative professionals. Creative vision, leadership, client interaction, quality control, innovation and team development are essential facets of this role. The Executive Creative Director sits on the leadership team and works closely with all departments to meet our client's marketing objectives, get projects to the finish line and adhere to stringent specifications of our channel partners and to FitzMartin's high standards.

Note - This is a remote position, but you must be in driving distance to our home office in Birmingham, AL to be considered for this role.

Core Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with clients and team leads to help craft strategic plans and campaigns for each marketing objective
  • Interview clients and subject-matter experts, research and write positioning statements and thought work supporting the strategic objectives of the client
  • Develop and write content for all media types and channels and guide the creative team in the development of assets for each campaign
  • Keep up with current marketing trends, technology and best practices in support of reaching our client's marketing objectives
  • Support digital-first operations and have a deep understanding of the tools and platforms used in modern marketing
  • Utilize AI and machine learning tools to gather insights, forecast trends, and inform decision-making processes

 

Qualifications

  • 5+ years in a creative role within an agency as a copywriter or creative director
  • Strong background in creative execution in a variety of disciplines, including digital, video, and print, and working in collaboration with other creatives, art directors, developers, photographers, editors, directors, etc.
  • Experience working across different disciplines, audiences, and verticals with a deep understanding of strategy, best practices, and technology
  • Strong communication and interviewing skills 
  • Strong storytelling skills
  • High emotional intelligence, an ability to connect with and learn from a wide variety of people
  • Proven success working with budget and timeline constraints
  • Skilled in anticipating issues and proactively come up with strong solutions
  • Curious and inquisitive nature, innovative thinker, expert communicator/writer
  • Video script writing and directing a plus
