Seeking a Social Media Manager
to Join the FitzMartin Team

The role of our next Social Media Manager is to work directly with one (or more) of our clients, handling all of their social media efforts. This Social Media Manager will identify and articulate our client's key message(s) across all of their corporate social media channels. Overseeing the company's interactions with the public, the Social Media Manager will develop and implement content strategies that align with overall sales and marketing objectives. This is an essential role within the internal marketing team and is focused on engaging followers and developing conversations that convert to leads. The Social Media Manager must gain a deep understanding of our client’s sales and marketing strategies as well as their customer profiles (personas), products, processes and culture. Duties include analyzing engagement data, identifying trends in customer interactions and planning digital campaigns to build community online. The Social Media Manager must work closely with other departments within the company like customer service, sales, corporate communications, product development and human resources to collect vital and relevant content to share on social channels. A dynamic personality, a strong background in writing and designing for social channels are necessary to ensure key messages from all areas of the business are communicated effectively to audiences on each platform. This role reports to the Director of Creative Operations and works closely with designers and developers to create static and video assets supporting the content written for each post.

Note - this is a remote role with some frequent travel to Birmingham, AL for client visits and quarterly planning sessions.

Core Responsibilities

  • Manage the company’s social media channels including planning, coordinating and scheduling posts
  • Formulate high-quality written and visual content for each social media campaign
  • Build a social media presence by maintaining a solid online presence
  • Monitor the company's brand on social media
  • Build brand awareness by engaging relevant influencers
  • Manage our online communities to ensure respectful and appropriate engagement
  • Respond to comments on each of our accounts
  • Oversee customer service provided via social media
  • Analyze data to determine whether social media campaigns have achieved their objectives

 

Qualifications

  • 3-5 years experience in social media marketing
  • Experience developing social media strategies
  • Experience working with and developing a marketing plan
  • Ability to develop the right voice for each social media platform
  • Proven ability to build social media communities
  • Experience as a Brand Manager on social media
  • Ability to measure and report on the success of campaigns
  • Experience working across different disciplines, audiences, and verticals with a deep understanding of strategy, best practices, and technology
  • Strong communication and interviewing skills 
  • Strong storytelling skills
  • High emotional intelligence, an ability to connect with and learn from a wide variety of people
  • Proven success working with budget and timeline constraints
  • Skilled in anticipating issues and proactively come up with strong solutions
  • Curious and inquisitive nature, innovative thinker, expert communicator/writer
